✨ Space Month at Minilab! 🚀
In keeping with our monthly themes on the Minilab social channels, this month is officially ‘Space Month’! We think it might just be our coolest theme so far? After all – it doesn’t get much cooler than the activities and events coming up over the next few weeks…
The Big Space Day
We’re kicking off May not just with a bang, but with the Big Bang! On Sunday 6th, we’re going to be running a chill-out space with the Professor Astro Cat apps at the Royal Albert Hall’s Big Space Day. From exploring life-sized spacecraft, to multi-sensory experiences, to space-themed storytelling, this all-day event is going to be a blast! Find more details here (free walk-up tickets available on the day).

The Mars InSight Rover and other space events!
Okay, we’re not actively involved in these celestial and space-travel events – but they’re definitely worth celebrating! The Mars InSight Rover is about to be launched, and will dig deeper below the surface of Mars than we’ve ever been before. And that’s not all – there are plenty more reasons to be casting your eyes skywards. The Eta Aquarid meteor shower will peak on the morning of May 6th, but meteors could be visible all across the weekend and early next week. Finally, Jupiter will be at its most visible on May 8th and throughout the month.
The Smartest Space-Cat in the Alley
Of course, we’ll be talking a lot about our two Astro Cat apps, too! If you’re new to the Professor, there are only two things you need to know: he’s a bright blue cat, and he knows a LOT about the universe. His latest book just launched in the US and Canada, and you can find his apps here (for Solar System quizzes) and here (for intergalactic brain-training).
Happy weekend, and happy Space Month!
