Minilab Celebrates the International Day of Human Space Flight!

International Day of Human Space Flight

On this day, 12th April, in 1961, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, was sent into space on the top of a gigantic Soviet rocket. He flew once all around Earth in his tiny spacecraft, Vostok I for one hour and 48 minutes. He landed safely back in Russia as the first human to travel in space. Gagarin’s journey began a new era of space exploration and since then, many others have followed in his footsteps, travelling into orbit, to space stations and even to the Moon. Who knows where humans will set foot next!

Every year, the anniversary is celebrated as the International Day of Human Space Flight, or Cosmonautics Day in Russia and other USSR countries, and to mark the day, we have reduced the price of Professor Astro Cat’s Solar System for this week only! Download it now to send your kids on their very own adventure into outer-space, from the safety of their homes and classrooms!
